Traditional Viking Sagas in a Musical Exhibition

Saga by the Daughters of the Wolf is a lively vocal manifestation of ancient Viking traditions, folded into new expressions and harmonies. The three daughters, Caroline, Isabella and Johanna Grüssner, sing in phenomenal three-part voices, in the exuberant style of the Bulgarian Women's Choir, featuring old instruments from Sweden. Nineteen tracks of traditional songs about an era of civilization, unfortunately not covered in our history class, feature a valuable narrative on our history before Columbus. The lyrics are in Swedish with no English translations. The singing and music highlights a sense of pure and authentic expression, which extends the listening experience to a cultural journey to the mysterious and unknown. Recommended.
